Enhancing acting and performance art through community

Dreamland Theater is building a community of performing artists to bring a new professional theater, film and performance group to southern Vermont.

Formerly from Minnesota and NYC, Dreamland Theater will continue it's artistry of theater, film, improvisation, sketch and stand-up comedy to the southern Vermont community.

How

Beginners, amateurs, hobbyists and professionals can build acting and performance skills through proven techniques and methods critical for achieving professional results.

There are many methods, techniques, approaches, systems, and individual means to learn the skills used by millions of actors worldwide. Dreamland will explore and practice many of these methods and techniques to help bring about a realistic and reality-based performance for all live theater, film, web and institutional stages.

By learning great and proven skills, we can develop, workshop and showcase our work through community feedback and small live performances to build confidence, skill, experience and expertise. Please join us.

Weaving the Tapestry of Generations

Robert Marcus

Robert is a long time actor, director, filmmaker, writer, producer, musician and performing artist now living and working in Vermont. Robert is the artistic director of Dreamland.

Dreamland theater is a small professional theater devoted to new work, classic and contemporary progressive themes spanning multiple generations. Our work is based on converging generational themes of past, present and future.

Prior to starting Dreamland, Robert was the artistic director of Theater NOW, developed in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, a professional theater devoted to multi-generational themes, and Platinum Theater, a professional theater devoted to senior improvisation and on-stage performance with special emphasis on helping seniors through performing arts.

Dreamland began in NYC in 2008 as a new development incubator for drama, comedy, musicals, improvisation and sketch comedy. Working now in Vermont, Robert is establishing this theater company and it's free and community based resources to build a working professional theater.
